The Tilden Plaster Wall Sconce is built into the wall rather than hung on it. A 15.7-inch square gypsum panel is set into the wall surface and finished over, so no edge or trim shows, and a half-moon scoop formed in the panel bows out from the wall and throws the light of a hidden bulb upward in a soft fan. Finished flush, it reads as part of the plaster rather than as a fixture.
The panel is 15.7 inches square and 3.1 inches deep, with mesh tabs at the sides for fixing it into the wall build-up. It suits new construction or a renovation where the wall is being opened anyway: above a nightstand as a bedside light, on a living-room wall beside a painting, or repeated at intervals along a hallway, where a row of them lights the wall without adding visible hardware to it.
It is hardwired, and because the panel is plastered in, installation belongs to an electrician working alongside the plasterer. It takes one G9 LED bulb, included, at 5 watts and a warm 3000K, and dimming is available on request.
