Shaped like a sheet of cloth caught as it falls, the Seren Pendant rises to a soft peak where the cord meets the shade and spreads outward into a rippling hem with a frayed, fringed edge. The surface is matte and slightly uneven, closer to heavy paper than to plastic or glass, and when the lamp is on the white shade lights evenly from within while the torn edge throws a fine shadow line on the ceiling.
It comes in two sizes, 31.5 and 39.4 inches across, and both are statement pieces. The smaller works over a round dining table or a coffee table in the middle of a seating group. The larger is for an oval or rectangular dining table, or for a living room with the ceiling height to let a wide, low shade hang in open space. A spare E27 bulb is offered as a separate option in the size menu.
The cord is 59 inches (1.5 m) and shortens to suit the room, and it hangs straight from a sloped ceiling. The fixture hardwires to a ceiling box behind a 4.7-inch canopy, and one replaceable E27 LED bulb is included.
