Thick molded acrylic, held in a slim satin metal ring, makes up the whole face of the Ogden Wall Sconce. The diffuser is stepped at the rim like a pressed lens, so it looks solid even when the light is off, and when the built-in LED comes on the whole face glows with a brighter center. There is no arm and no shade: the fixture is 5.3 inches across and sits close against the wall.
Three diffuser colors change the character of the fixture more than its shape. Yellow gives a warm amber glow, Grey a smoky tone, and Cream a soft, milky white. Standing 3.2 inches off the wall, it clears a corridor comfortably, and a pair stacked one above the other on a hallway or living-room wall makes a quiet column of light. A single one above a nightstand works as a low bedside light that never catches an elbow.
It is hardwired, with installation by a certified electrician recommended, and the integrated LED draws 5 watts at a warm 3000K. It is not dimmable. The 5.3-inch round backplate matches the face, so nothing shows around the edge once it is on the wall.
