A single round bar of wood, 1.5 inches thick with rounded ends, carries the light in a slim diffuser strip along its underside. From the side it reads as a plain wooden rail, and only the soft line of light beneath gives away that it is a lamp. The LED is integrated, so there are no bulbs to buy and nothing shows above the bar. Two fine cables hold it level from two small black round canopies.
Three lengths, and the 47-inch size comes in black walnut or ash wood, while the 43- and 87-inch sizes are black walnut. The 43- and 47-inch bars run 18W and suit a table for four to six. The 87-inch bar runs 36W and is two lengths joined at the centre by a metal sleeve, sized for a long dining table, a kitchen island or a wall of counters.
The cables are 79 inches (2 m) and adjust to your hanging height, spaced 22 inches apart, and the bar still hangs level from a sloped ceiling. It hardwires to the ceiling and is rated IP20 for dry indoor locations.
