At 57 inches long, the Ferris is built for the long surfaces in a house. Four shallow disc shades, 12 inches across, hang beneath a slim bar, each over its own small round lamp, and one rigid rod carries the fixture from a single round canopy. From below, each disc throws a soft pool of light; from the side, the fixture is a thin line with four flat caps.
The length is the number to measure against. A 57-inch bar suits a kitchen island or dining table of about 7 to 8 feet, where it leaves roughly a foot and a half clear at each end; on a shorter island it starts to overhang. Because each disc is 12 inches across, the light lands in four even pools along the surface. The overall height is 30 inches. The brass body comes in bright brass, antique brass, black and chrome.
The downrod is up to 23.6 inches (60 cm), which lets the bar drop further from a tall ceiling, and a custom length is available on request. The fixture hardwires to a ceiling box behind a 5-inch canopy and takes four G9 bulbs, not included.
