The Ansley Marble Wall Sconce sets glass globes into a flat plate of white marble with grey veining, cut with fully rounded ends. The globes sit proud of the stone and glow evenly, while the marble around them stays matte and cool, so the contrast between smooth light and veined surface does most of the work. There is no arm and no shade; the plate itself is the fixture.
It comes in three lengths, set by the number of globes. The 1-light is 5.5 inches wide and 13.7 inches long, with the globe near the top; the 2-light is 4.7 by 17.3 inches; and the 3-light is 4.7 by 23.6 inches, with the globes evenly spaced down the plate. The plate can be mounted vertically or horizontally, so the 3-light also works as a long horizontal bar over a headboard or along a hallway wall.
It hardwires to a wall box and should be installed by a certified electrician. Each globe takes a G9 LED bulb, included, at 7 watts per globe, and dimming is available on request. A 1-light above a nightstand gives a low, warm reading light; the longer versions suit a living-room wall where a stronger vertical accent is wanted.
